Bloom: Salah Elkara
The new collection of paintings that Salah is exhibiting at the Artists’ House in Tel Aviv focuses on depictions of flowers and sabra cacti. Salah, born in Daliyat al-Karmel, spent his childhood in the Galilean fields, which serve as the main inspiration for his artistic work. For him, nature is a childhood memory—a place where he spent most of his days, filled with both wonder and mystery. Salah frequently paints trees, sabras, and flowers, often positioned near a house that symbolizes for him the innocence of youth, nostalgia, and simplicity.
This current collection consists of small-format works that carry a message of hope for brighter days filled with light, beauty, and tranquility.
